Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (exceptions apply for designated Career and Technology Education positions)
• If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, must obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license within 3 years and enroll in a program to continue employment
• Must demonstrate active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements (set by Hawaii Teacher Standards Board) each year of employment
• Program enrollment must be aligned with the teaching line hired for
• Must have a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire

Pay & Schedule

• New employees can expect first paycheck within the first 3 pay periods of start date
• Payday is on the 5th and 20th (or previous business day) of every month
• Certificated 10-Month Teachers: compensated per Bargaining Unit 05 10-month salary schedule for working a 10-month work year
