Milieu Therapist

What you’ll be doing:

• Schedule: Part Time - 3 Shifts per week - with preference of availability on Monday and Thursday - 3rd shift can be flexible
• The Milieu Therapist facilitates groups based on core curriculum, provides meal monitoring and meal support.
• Offers milieu support, de-escalation and behavior coaching to patients in IP/Res and PHP programs.
• May be required to work on-call shifts based on business needs, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local labor laws.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Facilitates curriculum-based groups.
• Provides meal monitoring and support.
• Documentation of groups, meals and patient check-ins and observations
• Supports Milieu including the following:
• De-escalation and crisis management
• Bathroom monitoring
• Monitoring outside breaks
• Conducts self-harm and suicide assessment
• Supports morning routine in IP/Res programs
• Collects weights, vitals and urine in some settings
• Implements individual behavior management plans for some patients and serves as clinical lead for the program in standalone programs in evenings and weekends. Will lead more advanced groups.
• Coverage for Primary Therapists with support from Clinical Manager or Clinical Director

Must haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in mental health or related degree program (required)
• Master’s degree in mental health or related degree program (required)
• Intern or associate license from appropriate state licensing board (required)
• Minimum 18 months of experience in a behavioral health or related field (requirement waived with relevant master's degree)

Bonus qualities:

• 1+ year facilitating groups (preferred)
