MIG Welder - 2nd Shift
Job Description
ExacTech Inc. in Sturgeon Bay, WI is looking to add 2nd shift welders to our team. As part of a turnkey heavy fabrication team, welders are responsible for welding and fabricating on various steel parts. We are proud to offer in-house job training for all our team members.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding with Metal-cored wires & flux-cored wires to assemble large steel pieces together
- Read and interpret blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific welding requirements
- Use disc grinders to smooth out parts to ensure there are no defects prior to and after welding
- Daily use of overhead cranes and jib cranes to place components in position for welding
- Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above
- All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned
Job Qualifications
- Technical diploma in welding is desired
- Understand pre-heat and post-heat weldments preferred
- Able to read Blueprints and drawings is a plus
- Able to use a tape measurer and convert measurements into decimals
- Able to follow verbal and written work instructions
- Regular attendance required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted

ExacTech is the primary supplier for Marine Travelift and Shuttlelift crane structures, providing steady, in-door work throughout the year.
