As part of Engineered Air Movement, Cincinnati Fan is a leading manufacturer of industrial fans and blowers for OEMs and industrial applications. In this role, you will work as part of a team to meet on-time delivery and exceed customer satisfaction by creating functional metal components primarily through MIG tack welding operations. This opportunity is for 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 6 am - 2:30 pm.
Responsibilities
- Safety
- Follow all safety rules and adhere to core value of business
- Maintain general work areas and/or equipment used in a clean and orderly condition
- Ensure proper and effective operation of machine and tools throughout entire process
- Report repairs and/or issues to team lead or supervisor
- Quality
- Confirm material, sizes, and parts match work order/job tickets
- Ensure all parts and surfaces are free from defects
- Able to self-monitor quality of own work, and report to lead or supervisor unusual, defective, or operating difficulties
- Complete all tasks and work within designed quality guidelines
- Accurately document work performed using company required documents and procedures
- Delivery
- Ability to weld to specifications, and out of position, on mild steel and stainless steel including vertical up
- Read blueprints, schematics, work orders and/or assembly sketches
- Coordinate staging and sequencing of parts, productions items, and product components
- Prepare both metals and work surfaces for the production process
- Select appropriate tools, materials, gas ratios, and build fixturing/shipping brackets as needed
- Transfer completed product to next workstation/process using cranes and forklift as needed
- Perform light maintenance on equipment, machines, and other devices used in the normal course of work performed
- Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision

Requirements
- Required Experience
- 1 year MIG welding in production/manufacturing environment
- Mechanical aptitude
- Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Good attendance, able to report to work on time, ready to work
- Basic math skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality, working within precise limits and/or standards of accuracy
- Forklift certification
- Overhead crane operation
- Self-driven, able to work independently, and as a team
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Education & Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent

Pay
Pay based on experience and weld test.
