About the role

At Nebraska Crossing, we are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented individual for outdoor area maintenance, responsible for preserving the visual appeal and safety of our open-air shopping center. You will be a key member of the team, ensuring our facilities remain clean, welcoming, and well-maintained throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Waste management: Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the property and keep waste collection areas clean
• Paved surface maintenance: Sweep walkways, remove loose debris, and pressure wash sidewalks, patios, and rest areas
• Seasonal landscaping: Perform basic plant care tasks such as watering planters, weeding, and raking leaves
• Weather-related attention: Remove snow from pedestrian walkways and apply ice-melt products during winter months
• Property inspection: Actively monitor the facilities and report maintenance issues, vandalism, or safety hazards to management

Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and in all weather conditions
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and safely lift up to 50 lbs (approx. 23 kg) throughout the workday
• Basic knowledge of gardening and cleaning equipment (e.g., leaf blowers, pressure washers)
• Friendly and courteous attitude when interacting with visitors and mall tenants
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Pay

Starting salary of $15/hour
