MidLevel Dev Ops Software Developer
About the role
The MidLevel Dev Ops Software Developer will join a team of dynamic and innovative engineers to develop new capabilities supporting the front end processing of data for a mission critical tool. They will also support the modernization of the front end processing services and develop techniques for metadata storage for knowledge management to support the defense of national security systems. Additionally, they will explore new technologies and prototype new mission tools and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of engineers to develop new capabilities supporting the front end processing of data for a mission critical tool.
- Sustain the modernization of the front end processing services.
- Support the modernization of malware analysis and develop techniques for metadata storage for knowledge management to support the defense of national security systems.
- Participate in a team exploring new technologies and prototyping new mission tools and analytics.
- Develop new algorithms and innovative techniques to address mission-related problems.
Requirements
- A current or active security clearance with a poly.
- Fourteen (14) + years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity or 4 more years experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Skills and experience in Linux system administration, continuous integration/continuous deployment, automation and monitoring of tools and processes, Kubernetes, Docker, cloud computing (AWS), scripting tools (bash, python, JavaScript, etc.), experience building and supporting VMs, and experience with Apache NiFi, visualization/reporting tools (Grafana, Kibana, etc.), Jenkins, and hardening COTS application configurations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Four years of additional Software Engineer experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Skills
- Linux system administration experience (file system manipulation, monitoring and logging, troubleshooting; experience with command line tools: ps, netstat, top, SSH, grep).
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, automation and monitoring of tools and processes.
- Kubernetes experience with the understanding of deployment, management, and configuration.
- Docker experience (deployment, management, and configuration).
- Cloud computing skills (AWS).
- Experience with scripting tools (bash, python, JavaScript, etc.).
- Experience building and supporting VMs (preferably experience using one of the customer’s corporate solutions).
- Experience with Apache NiFi.
- Experience with visualization/reporting tools (Grafana, Kibana, etc.).
- Experience with Jenkins.
- Experience hardening COTS application configurations.
