Key Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and optimize enterprise API gateway and middleware platforms in production environments.
- Lead platform engineering, infrastructure administration, and operational support for middleware environments.
- Deploy, install, configure, patch, and maintain middleware infrastructure across multiple environments.
- Respond to production incidents, troubleshoot complex issues, and restore services to steady state.
- Participate in an on-call rotation supporting critical production systems.
- Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and automation tools (Ansible).
- Execute production deployments, coordinate change management activities, and support release implementations.
- Configure and manage AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, Security Groups, and API Gateway.
- Monitor platform health and availability using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Grafana, and Splunk.
- Perform vulnerability remediation, security patching, and infrastructure maintenance to ensure a secure operating environment.
- Conduct system integration testing and troubleshoot server, middleware, and platform issues.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend infrastructure technologies, software, and hardware improvements.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure platform stability and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in middleware platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or systems administration.
- Proven support experience with enterprise middleware or API gateway platforms in production.
- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, and API Gateway; AWS GovCloud experience preferred.
- Strong Terraform skills for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
- Proficiency with Ansible for automation and configuration.
- Experience administering middleware platforms such as MuleSoft Runtime or similar.
- Support experience with API gateway technologies and middleware operations.
- Strong incident response and production support background in medium to large enterprise environments.
- Experience with deployment management, change coordination, and security group configuration.
- Knowledge of vulnerability remediation practices.
- Able to support multiple environments while maintaining high availability and system reliability.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call support rotation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Supporting MuleSoft infrastructure and runtime environments.
- Experience developing or deploying APIs.
- Familiarity with MuleSoft API development and policy implementation.
- Experience working in highly regulated enterprise environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
