About the Role
The Middle School Teaching Fellow with a Math focus will support the mission of inspiring and empowering students qualifying for need-based scholarships to become future community leaders through a rigorous middle school program and ongoing graduate support.
The successful candidate will be a servant leader committed to living the school's mission by inspiring students to reach their full academic and personal potential and contribute to the life of the school community.
Responsibilities
- Actively monitor student activities, including breakfast, lunch/recess, and dismissal.
- Assist with academic intervention with a focus on math and English.
- Lead or assist afternoon enrichment classes.
- Supervise the afternoon study hall.
- Lead or assist at least two Saturday field trips per month.
- Participate as a representative of APT in school fundraising events (may take place on select evenings or weekends).
- Attend school-wide programming (e.g., Spelling Bee, Spring Showcase) to support students and colleagues.
- Live the school’s mission and core values of Loyalty, Empathy, Accountability, Diligence, Engagement, and Respect.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Experience working with children preferred.
- Experience in educational settings preferred.
