Middle School Teacher - Social Studies (LTS)

1.0 FTE (Long-Term Substitute) position anticipated from October 27, 2026 until the end of the 2026/27 school year.

About the Role

Teach the curriculum of Independent School District 196. Carry out responsibilities as defined by the master contract and the building principal. Maintain good communication and cooperation with staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Teach middle school social studies curriculum
• Adhere to responsibilities outlined in the master contract
• Follow directives and expectations set by the building principal
• Maintain effective communication with staff, students, and parents

Requirements

• Licensed by the state of Minnesota to teach middle school social studies
• Strong general academic background
• Ability to relate positively to students, staff, and community
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially, and socioeconomically diverse school community (preferred)
