Position Responsibilities

  • Supervise students in a variety of settings, including study halls and student reflection time.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and positive environment while reinforcing school expectations.
  • Respond appropriately to student needs and communicate concerns or incidents to the appropriate faculty member or administrator.
  • Build positive relationships with students while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Provide short-term classroom coverage during unexpected or last-minute faculty absences.
  • Follow lesson plans and classroom procedures provided by the absent teacher.
  • Supervise study halls and other student activities as needed throughout the school day.
  • Provide lunch coverage for front office staff and assist with basic reception duties when needed.
  • Aid in the preparation of materials, forms, rosters, and supplies for field trips, school programs, and special events.
  • Support standardized testing by preparing rooms, supervising students, distributing and collecting materials, and assisting with testing logistics.
  • Copy, organize, label, distribute, and collect school materials and documents.
  • Provide general administrative support for short-term Middle School projects and other operational needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with middle school students preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Schedule

This is a part-time position, generally working Monday through Friday from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. The position includes a 45-minute unpaid meal break, typically scheduled around 12:15–1:00 p.m., though lunch times may vary based on the daily needs of the school.
