About the Role

To build a community that seeks to glorify God by leading this generation of middle school students to both discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ and make disciple-making disciples through relevant and engaging ministry environments and relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for the middle school student segment at The Church of Eleven22, engaging over 350 middle school students weekly through discipleship, teaching, and relational ministry.
  • Oversee, run, and teach Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings.
  • Assist in the development of the Eleven22 Student Ministry strategy at the assigned campus, following worship, small group, event, and follow-up guidelines.
  • Contribute to the teaching team monthly (led by central).
  • Engage students on a weekly basis.
  • Implement Eleven22 Students next step plans.
  • Care for middle school serve staff at the assigned campus and consistently communicate with them.
  • Recruit, disciple, and lead a healthy team of coaches to help care for and train serve staff.
  • Recruit serve staff and team leads as needed for middle school.
  • Implement and create training to equip serve staff.
  • Engage serve staff weekly.
  • Perform first-time guest follow-up, including sending letters, giving out first-time guest gifts, and collecting information.
  • Develop students to reach their schools by attending school lunches, sports games, and other local school events.
  • Follow up with students who make ‘next step’ decisions, including salvation, baptism, serving interest, student leadership, care, and prayer needs.
  • Launch, lead, and facilitate a middle school student leadership program at the assigned campus.
  • Implement a plan to engage new students, invest in them, and invite them to participate.
  • Minister to students, families, and adults (outside of Sunday middle school service times) to actively address care, response, and campus needs.
  • Partner with middle school parents for discipleship at the assigned campus.
  • Assist the Central team in planning, ideation, and implementation of big events for Eleven22 Students and The Church of Eleven22 as needed.
  • Lead Residents, Summer Interns, and/or other staff when needed.

Requirements

  • Model The Church of Eleven22 mission, vision, and core values.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
  • Strong proactive communication skills.
  • Effective teaching and facilitation skills, especially in youth ministry environments.
  • Ability to build trust and connection with middle school students, parents, and serve staff.
  • Proven ability to recruit, disciple, and empower volunteers and student leaders.
  • Capable of organizing weekly gatherings, school outreach, and large-scale events.
  • Skilled in tracking and responding to spiritual decisions and guest engagement.
  • Willingness to be present in schools and local events to build relationships.
  • Works well across campus and Central teams to implement shared ministry goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two to three years of experience working with students preferred.
  • Multisite student ministry experience highly desired.

Schedule

This is a full-time, exempt position with varying hours and workdays, including weekends. Mandatory attendance at several big events ("All-Skates") throughout the year is required.

Work Environment

This role is a hybrid of onsite and remote work, operating in a professional office environment. It involves routine use of standard office equipment and active engagement with middle school students through teaching, games, small groups, and discipleship activities.

Physical Demands

This is an active role requiring regular movement and physical activity, including standing for extended periods, leading games, setting up and tearing down event spaces, and engaging with students in active environments. Occasional lifting of materials and equipment may be necessary. Some travel may be required.
