Responsibilities
- Develop and implement dynamic curriculum for our Grade 8 Science and Grade 7 Digital Innovations/Applied Technology
- Employ innovative instructional strategies to engage students and promote critical thinking, creativity, and inquiry.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity, fosters collaboration, and encourages mutual respect.
- Integrate IPA's core values into daily instruction, emphasizing kindness, generosity, growth mindset, excellence, and ingenuity.
- Audit student progress and provide constructive feedback to support continuous growth and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that enhance student learning and engagement.
- Actively participate in professional development activities to refine teaching practice and stay abreast of best practices in education.
- Maintain open and proactive communication with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure student success and well-being.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, Design Thinking, STEM, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching credential or certification
- Previous teaching experience at the secondary level, preferably in science, technology and/or design thinking courses
- Demonstrated commitment to IPA's vision, mission, and core values
- Strong understanding of curriculum design, instructional methodologies, and assessment strategies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Flexible, adaptable, and growth-oriented mindset
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
Salary Range
$50,000 - $65,000
