ISLAND PACIFIC ACADEMY (IPA) seeks an enthusiastic Middle School Science (Grade 8) and Digital Innovations/Applied Technology Teacher (Grade 7) to join our dedicated faculty.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement dynamic curriculum for our Grade 8 Science and Grade 7 Digital Innovations/Applied Technology
  • Employ innovative instructional strategies to engage students and promote critical thinking, creativity, and inquiry.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity, fosters collaboration, and encourages mutual respect.
  • Integrate IPA's core values into daily instruction, emphasizing kindness, generosity, growth mindset, excellence, and ingenuity.
  • Audit student progress and provide constructive feedback to support continuous growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Actively participate in professional development activities to refine teaching practice and stay abreast of best practices in education.
  • Maintain open and proactive communication with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure student success and well-being.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, Design Thinking, STEM, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Valid teaching credential or certification
  • Previous teaching experience at the secondary level, preferably in science, technology and/or design thinking courses
  • Demonstrated commitment to IPA's vision, mission, and core values
  • Strong understanding of curriculum design, instructional methodologies, and assessment strategies
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible, adaptable, and growth-oriented mindset
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development

Salary Range

$50,000 - $65,000
