Middle School Paraprofessional

About the role

The primary responsibility of the Middle School Paraprofessional is to support the classroom teachers in providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for students. This includes assisting with lesson preparation, monitoring student behavior, and ensuring that all students are engaged and progressing academically.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with lesson planning and preparation
• Monitor student behavior and provide guidance as needed
• Support students in completing assignments and participating in class activities
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with children in a school setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred
• Knowledge of special education principles and practices

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

The pay rate for this position is $15 per hour.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
