About the role
A teacher will plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in a middle school Grade 8 math classroom that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic goals by creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of students.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Plan and deliver effective lessons aligned with state standards
- Evaluate student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Incorporate technology and other resources to enhance learning
- Mentor and support students' social and emotional development
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration to improve teaching practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Valid teaching license in the state of employment
- At least two years of successful teaching experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Passing scores on relevant standardized tests
- Experience with differentiated instruction
- Knowledge of current educational research and best practices
