Middle School: Math Lead Teacher - Greater Boston (2026-2027)

About the role

KIPP Academy Lynn Charter School seeks a Lead Teacher to join our team. This role is responsible for leading a classroom or classrooms, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment, and driving student growth and achievement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a lead or co-lead in a classroom (or classrooms)
• Ensure all children are affirmed, valued, and challenged every day
• Foster a positive and safe learning environment
• Prepare and internalize rigorous and engaging unit and daily lessons
• Set specific, ambitious growth goals with all students
• Innovate on best practices to execute engaging, differentiated instruction
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date student grades/records
• Initiate strong lines of communication with students and their families

Requirements

• Obtain required MTEL and SEI endorsements with financial support from KIPP MA within the first year of employment
• Participate in school-wide and individual professional development
• Develop strong relationships with families
• Be willing to offer support and receive constructive feedback from colleagues
• Collaborate with grade level and content teams
• Be dependable and communicate proactively when attendance barriers arise

• Passion for subject/content area and demonstrated commitment to professional learning
• 2+ years of full-time teaching experience
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Criminal Background Check

Benefits

The role includes a $1,000 signing bonus and an annual $2,000 retention bonus in subsequent years, as well as other bonuses, when eligible.

Pay

The minimum base salary for this exempt position is $55,000 to $89,500 (per 1.0 FTE/45 hours per week), depending upon years of relevant experience after your Bachelor's degree and any advanced degrees (+$3,000 for 1st advanced degree and +$1,500 for 2nd advanced degree).
