Responsibilities
- Teach required health curriculum for grades 6–8
- Develop and deliver engaging health elective offerings
- Promote student wellness, healthy decision-making, and lifelong healthy habits
Qualifications
- Hold appropriate Maine Department of Education Health Education certification (or be eligible for certification)
- Show strong classroom management skills and the ability to establish positive relationships with middle school students
- Possess knowledge of best practices in health education and adolescent development
- Utilize engaging, student-centered instructional practices
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students

- Current CHRC (criminal history record check) or ability to obtain
