Middle School Girls Soccer Coach - YES Prep Fifth Ward Secondary (26-27)

The Role

When you join the YES Prep team, some of the exciting work and responsibilities will include:

• Organizing practices and games
• Making sure student athletes keep up with their studies
• Providing an introduction to the program for all student athletes
• Talking to coaches and the athletic director about how student athletes are doing
• Ensuring that student athletes are in the best shape possible
• Being there for the team and the athletes until everyone leaves after practice
• Gathering important documents like medical records

The Person

MUST HAVES

• Up to 3 years of coaching experience
• Knowledge of the specific sport, including its rules and terminology
• A valid certification for CPR and AED use from a nationally recognized organization, or the willingness to complete a district-required training within a set timeframe

NICE TO HAVES

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
• Continued education in the specific sport
• Experience coaching the specific sport
• Experience working with children
