About the role
The successful candidate will lead the Henry Wilson Middle School girls basketball team during the 2026-2027 winter season.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for players
- Manage team logistics including scheduling practices and games
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, staff members, and the athletic director
- Break down the fundamentals of the sport and teach them to players
- Ensure safety and health protocols are followed
Requirements
- Prior experience coaching adolescents
- Passionate about the sport of basketball
- Effective leadership skills
- Good communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- Experience working with middle school-aged students
Skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire players
- Knowledge of basketball rules and strategies
