Middle School English Teacher
About the role
The Archer School for Girls is seeking a full-time middle school English teacher beginning in August 2026. Archer is an educational community that supports and challenges young women to discover their passions and realize their true potential. Serving girls in grades 6-12, Archer’s ambitious program engages girls in a purposeful, inquiry-driven curriculum that fosters critical thinking and life-long intellectual curiosity.
Responsibilities
- Teach 4-5 middle school classes
- Serve as a mentor
- Participate in co-curricular school activities like our award-winning literary magazine, literature conference, experiential trips, clubs, and committees
Requirements
- An educational background
- At least three years of teaching experience
- Strong pedagogical skills
- Deep content knowledge
- Facility with educational technology
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Passion for teaching and learning
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in English, Literature or a related field
- A master’s degree and/or teaching credential preferred
- At least three years of experience teaching in a student-centered classroom
- Successful track record of collaboration and curricular design experience

Pay
Salary Range: $2,997.67 to $5,332.50 per semi-monthly pay period (depending on qualifications and experience).
