About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced educational leader to serve as the Principal of our high school. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing visionary leadership, fostering a positive school culture, and ensuring high academic standards for all students.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the school’s strategic plan.
- Oversee daily school operations, including curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for students and staff.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the community to support student success.
- Manage school resources, including budget, staffing, and facilities.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal education regulations.
- Promote professional growth and development for all staff members.
- Monitor and evaluate student achievement data to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field (required).
- Valid Michigan Administrator Certificate with a School Administrator endorsement (required).
- Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience, preferably in a secondary setting.
- Minimum of 3 years of administrative or leadership experience in a K-12 school.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.
