Our Approach to Art
Art at Valley Catholic Middle School is an intentional, standards‑based component of the cross‑curricular academic program, not an enrichment or stand‑alone elective. The Art teacher provides explicit instruction in visual‑arts concepts, techniques, vocabulary, and standards that students apply to presentations, products, visual displays, models, and other forms of academic communication. Instruction is coordinated with teachers across disciplines to ensure artistic skills are taught systematically and transferred to authentic work throughout the curriculum.
