Middle School Cross Country Assistant Coach

About the role

The Mickelson Middle School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Cross Country Assistant Coach to support the cross country program. The position is part-time and extra-duty, with flexible hours to accommodate the season.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in organizing and running cross country practices and meets
• Provide support to students during meets and at school events
• Help maintain equipment and facilities
• Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and concerns

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of cross country coaching techniques and strategies
• Experience working with middle school students
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for supporting student athletic development

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred college degree in physical education or related field

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Good organizational skills
