Middle School Assistant Football Coach

Season Dates: 2026-2027

Pay

$2,000 - $4,000 depending on experience

Qualifications

• Possess all certificates required for the State of Wyoming
• Possess current CPR certification
• Possess current First Aid certification
• Have fundamental knowledge of the sport
• Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries course
• Ability to select from a variety of instruction methods to teach activity objectives

Responsibilities

• Instruct all students in the fundamental skills and knowledge of the sport or activity
• Provide an atmosphere for successful individual development through monitoring, evaluating, and reinforcing
• Develop drill and practice activities that teach and enhance individual/team skill development
• Develop and maintain an inventory list of equipment
• Prepare and implement a schedule of checking out, maintaining, and checking in equipment
• Plan and enforce appropriate safety and health rules and regulations
• Develop a supervision plan that ensures the safety and welfare of students at all times: locker room, trips, practices, etc.
• Maintain confidentiality about students and others
• Present a professional appearance
• Be an effective communicator with all audiences—players, parents, supervisors, peers, and spectators
• Receive, understand, and follow directions
• Model/demonstrate activities and equipment used to develop basic skills or physical condition
• Observe, diagnose, and prescribe appropriate remediation activities during practice and game conditions for players and team
• Apply the developmental stages of each point of the game to the needs and ability levels of the team/players
• Assimilate innovations and adapt to changes when applicable
• Support the philosophies of Park County School District #6
• May be responsible for supervising students on out-of-town activities, which may involve staying overnight

Physical Demands

• Ability to sit on a bus for extended periods
• Ability to carry and/or provide aid to an injured player
