Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary homeroom teacher for 6th grade, supporting students’ academic, social, and spiritual development.
- Plan and deliver engaging middle school science instruction aligned with curriculum standards, emphasizing hands-on learning, inquiry, and critical thinking.
- Integrate Catholic values and faith experiences into classroom routines, lessons, and community activities.
- Create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and student success.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and provide accommodations as appropriate.
- Assess and monitor student progress using a variety of formative and summative tools; communicate regularly with students and families.
- Collaborate with middle school team members, specialists, and school leadership to support student learning and curriculum alignment.
- Maintain consistent classroom procedures, routines, and expectations to foster organization and accountability.
- Incorporate technology effectively to enhance instruction and student engagement.
- Participate in schoolwide activities, professional development, and faith-formation opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required.
- Teaching certification for middle school or science preferred.
- Strong knowledge of middle school science content and instructional best practices.
- Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that support a variety of learners.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom-management skills.
- Commitment to upholding and modeling the mission and values of Immaculate Conception Catholic School.
- Enthusiasm for working with middle school students and supporting their academic and spiritual growth.
Pre-Employment Screening
