Middle Grades ELA Teacher

About the role

Crest Middle School is seeking a licensed Middle Grades Language Arts teacher to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and committed to fostering a love of learning in students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective lesson plans aligned with state standards
• Assess student progress regularly and provide feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units
• Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods into the classroom
• Mentor and support new teachers as needed

Requirements

• Licensure in Middle Grades Language Arts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with diverse student populations
• Ability to work collaboratively with other educators

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• At least two years of successful teaching experience
• Passport to NC Teaching License

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of Common Core State Standards
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively
