Mid-Shift Mill Operator

Responsibilities

• Tends 3-roll mill in a continuous production/processing operation
• Follows production process specifications, or instructions from lead or higher-level technical personnel
• Maintains equipment and reports any malfunctions or abnormalities to the supervisor
• Monitors mill operations and reports any malfunctions or abnormalities in equipment to the supervisor
• Performs grind check after required # of passes are complete, and determines if additional passes are needed
• Records production and grind information of batch tickets (grind approval, batch weight, number of passes, etc.)
• Sets up and operates multiple machines
• Assists with other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Background in manufacturing/production required
• Two or more years of related experience outside of the Company or previous demonstrated competencies in current position within the company
• Ability to utilize iPad and Scanners for data entry
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk around the production floor for long periods
• Reach with hands and arms overhead above shoulders
• Bend to retrieve containers and packages
• Constantly lift materials to make batches
• Climb ladders to retrieve material
• Talk or hear frequently
• Lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• May be required to push/pull on wheels, up to 4000 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required are ability to distinguish colors
