Responsibilities
- Significantly contribute to the strategy, development and oversight of planning tasks for water resource projects involving water supply, wastewater, stormwater, groundwater, and recycled water.
- Technical guidance and mentoring of junior staff on water demand forecasting, flow projections, conservation, and water supply planning projects.
- Independently develop and apply long-range and mid-range demand forecast using tools and models, including assessments of risk and uncertainty.
- Guide work of junior staff related to spatial and temporal data processing.
- Independently evaluate opportunities, develop strategies, and estimate effectiveness of water conservation and efficiency measures.
- Alternatives analysis and decision support.
- Support stakeholder engagement activities.
- Prepare draft sections of technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
- Apply technical expertise to support business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of directly relevant experience in water demand forecasting and modeling, conservation planning, master planning, and water resource support.
- Ability to apply strategic planning principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
- GIS experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- PREFERRED: Master’s degree in civil engineering, Environmental Sciences, Geography, Environmental Management or related field.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation Range: $95,000 to $125,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
