Mid-Level Radar Engineer/Analyst

About the role
Join a well-established team in an AVMC lab that supports the development, test, and fielding of missile defense radar systems. This position involves analysis tool design and development, complex analysis on radar system and algorithm performance, and providing expertise on critical radar functions such as acquisition, scheduling, tracking, discrimination, and system-level interactions.
- Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop creative solutions to complex technical problems.
- Support a broad range of projects including performance analysis, modeling & simulation (M&S), post-flight reconstruction, and integration and risk reduction efforts.
- Interact with external customers and stakeholders within the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), program offices, and radar development prime contractors.
Requirements
- US Citizenship.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, or Computer Science from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience with sensor and/or system-level data analysis.
- Proficient in data manipulation and analysis, data visualization, signal and data processing, electromagnetics, and/or system engineering using MATLAB, Python, and/or similar tools.
- Ability to develop and/or contribute to reports and briefings that explain complex radar behaviors effectively to a broad range of audiences.
- Experience developing and/or improving complex analysis tools using MATLAB.
- Experience in radar analysis, radar systems engineering, and/or radar test and evaluation.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively across multiple efforts.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Must have an active secret clearance.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Experience with AN/TPY-2 TM.
- Experience with radar signal detection/injection HWIL systems.
- Experience in C, C++, and Ada programming, Linux/Unix operating systems, Microsoft Office.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
