Mid-level Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Cisco routers to ensure seamless network operations.
• Manage and optimize Palo Alto firewalls to enhance security and performance.
• Congduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of Cisco ASA devices.
• Implement and monitor Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) configurations for efficient traffic routing.
• Utilize your expertise in Cisco networking to support and improve system infrastructure.
• Collaborate with internal teams to assess and address network requirements.
• Perform hardware racking and stacking activities to support system integration.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and industry standards.
• Identify and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Document network configurations and processes for future reference.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with Cisco routers, including installation and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and their configuration.
• Familiarity with Cisco ASA devices and their functionality.
• Hands-on experience with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) in a production environment.
• Proficiency in Cisco networking concepts and protocols.
• Able to rack and stack hardware efficiently and accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team.

Qualifications

Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in network engineering.

Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Cisco ASA devices.

Experience with BGP and other routing protocols.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, and network security principles.

Basic knowledge of network monitoring tools such as Nagios or SolarWinds.

Valid driver's license required for on-site work.
