Astrion is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join their analytics team in Huntsville, AL. The role involves developing and deploying automation for key national security missions using cutting-edge technologies.
About the role
The position requires expertise in AI/ML model development and deployment, Python programming, and working with SQL and NoSQL databases. The team uses various tools and technologies including Docker, Python, Jupiter Notebooks, PostgreSQL, GitOps patterns, and CI/CD tools like GitLab and GitHub.
Responsibilities
- Integrate ML systems with other software components, ensuring they fit within the product architecture.
- Manage the transition from prototypes to production, setting up model deployment pipelines and monitoring solutions.
- Construct optimized data pipelines to feed ML models, running tests and experiments and documenting findings.
- Maintain model performance post-deployment, managing model drift, rollback, and failure scenarios.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code in Python and other languages.
Requirements
- TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field
- 1-3 years of experience working with ML frameworks
- Programming proficiency in Python and extensive knowledge of ML frameworks, libraries, data structures, and data modeling
- Solid understanding of the ML development lifecycle
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems
- Knowledge of CI/CD and Agile methodologies
- Understanding of software design and system integration
Qualifications
- Experience with petabyte scale data sets
- Experience with multi-INT analytics
- Experience deploying, monitoring, and scaling models in production environments
