About the role

Responsibilities

  • Handle your own case load of litigation matters involving commercial, contract/business disputes, general liability, construction, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims for a diverse range of clients, including individuals, businesses, and organizations.
  • Manage litigation cases independently from start to finish, including developing and implementing strategy, handling discovery, taking and defending depositions, coordinating with experts, law and motion practice, interfacing with clients and opposing counsel, trial preparation, and mediations (trial experience is a plus!)
  • Develop and implement litigation strategy, manage case files, and handle discovery.
  • Take and defend depositions, coordinate with experts, and prepare for trials and mediations.
  • Interface with clients and opposing counsel, and advocate for clients' interests.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5+ years of experience as a litigation attorney handling general liability, construction, personal/catastrophic injury, contracts/business, and/or commercial disputes in a law firm environment.
  • Experience managing litigation cases independently from start to finish, including developing and implementing strategy, handling discovery, taking and defending depositions, coordinating with experts, law and motion practice, interfacing with clients and opposing counsel, trial preparation, and mediations (trial experience is a plus!)
  • Exceptional communication and advocacy skills, along with a client-focused mindset and a passion for achieving successful outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Current admission to the State Bar of California is required.

Pay

The expected base salary range is $140,000-$160,000, however actual compensation will be determined based on experience (this does not include performance-based bonus plan).

Schedule

Full-time, fully remote and hybrid options available. Fully remote candidates must reside within 100 miles of our Walnut Creek, CA office.
