Mid Level Internal Accountant/Auditor

Audit Planning

Develop and maintain a timely, flexible annual audit plan utilizing appropriate risk-based methodologies, incorporating risks or control concerns identified by management. Submit the plan and periodic updates to the Audit Committee for approval.

Reporting

Issue comprehensive periodic reports (at least quarterly) to management summarizing the results of ongoing audit activities.

Risk & Control Management

Follow through on management's action plans to mitigate identified risks and resolve noted control lapses.

Advisory Role

Serve in a purely recommendatory capacity on special projects, carefully avoiding any decision-making roles to preserve the strict independence of the internal audit function.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: A Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Accounting, or a closely related discipline
• Experience: Entry-level or mid-level experience in accounting, auditing, and compliance functions
• Credentials: Appropriate professional certifications or documented evidence of job-related credentials to meet DHHS requirements are highly preferred
• Clearance: Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive Background Investigation prior to assignment
