About the role

Turnberry Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable data pipelines using technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, and AWS services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Implement data quality checks and ensure data integrity across all stages of the pipeline.
  • Optimize data processing workflows to improve performance and reduce latency.
  • Work closely with data scientists and analysts to integrate data from various sources into a unified data store.
  • Document and maintain codebase to ensure reproducibility and scalability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering, preferably in a professional environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data warehousing.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop, Hive, and Spark.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience with data modeling and database design.
  • Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
  • Experience with machine learning and AI tools.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.

Skills
