Mid-level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Mid-level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Client's team. Description of Duties: The Mid-level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in either Huntsville, AL OR Colorado Springs, CO. The candidate will: Specialize in migrating functions and networks to private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures. In doing so, will give organizations and business partners the freedom and flexibility to maximize their productivity while achieving additional cost savings to the MDA. Design, plan and implement client-specific cloud solutionsIdentify appropriate cloud providersEnsure the cloud network is properly sized and responsive to user demandsScale cloud services to serve growing demandsLiaise with business owners and/or stakeholders to determine growth plansMonitor usage of cloud networkImplement effective security strategies on cloud networksImplement fault tolerance, disaster recovery and failover capabilitiesEnsure compliance with relevant legislation and guidelinesBuild infrastructure automation to ensure rapid delivery of system and application updates. Carry out testing and fine-tuning to ensure optimal efficiency. Provide architectural vision, strategy & roadmap and work with Engineers and Platform Operations staff to operationalize technology solutions The successful candidate will: Have strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Basic Requirements: Must have 1, or more, years of directly related experienceMust understand cloud delivery models (IAAS, SAAS, PAAS)Must have experience with enterprise server operating systems/environments (i.e. RHEL 7 and/or 8; Windows Server 2019 and/or higher)Must have experience with implementing Cybersecurity best practicesMust have DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II CertificationMust have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance Desired Requirements: AZURE, AWS, and/or Cloud Certified Solution Architect CertificationStrong communication and collaboration skillsBachelor's Degree, or higher, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Math Security Clearance Required: Secret Blackstone Talent Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Blackstone Technology Group, a global IT services and software firm that implements technological solutions across commercial industry verticals and the US Federal Government.
