Mid Level Automotive Technician - Englewood, NJ

About the role

The role involves gaining hands-on experience in one of Goodyear's Auto Service centers by diagnosing technical issues and delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues using a mechanical aptitude.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance.
• Provide brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, and preventative maintenance.
• Document all work performed on repair orders.
• Maintain strict adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation.
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods, including light and heavy lifting.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior automotive technicians.
• Report any safety issues immediately to management.
• Deliver times and accurate guest care during all operating hours.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance.
• A valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• ASE Certification is preferred.
• Previous experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests.
• Previous electrical, air conditioning, and primary and advanced fuel ignition experience.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $15.92 - $24.00/hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.

Schedule

Depending on location, our stores may be open 7 days a week, which may include weekends and some holidays.
