Mid Level Automotive Technician - Colonial Heights, VA

About the Role

As a Mid-Level Automotive Technician at Goodyear, you will gain hands‑on experience in one of Goodyear’s Auto Service centers, utilizing mechanical aptitude to diagnose technical issues while delivering outstanding service. The position offers training in a rapidly changing automotive industry and opportunities for fast‑track career advancement.

Responsibilities

• Perform line technician services, routine inspections, maintenance, system diagnostics, and problem‑solving.
• Conduct brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, wheel alignments, and tire installation.
• Provide excellent guest service, including clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles.
• Guide and mentor junior automotive technicians.
• Document all work performed on repair orders.
• Report safety issues immediately to management.
• Promote teamwork to deliver timely and accurate guest care during all operating hours.
• Maintain strict adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation.
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods, including light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience, including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and at least 18 years of age.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• ASE certification (preferred).
• Previous experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests.
• Experience with electrical systems, air conditioning, and primary/advanced fuel ignition.
