About the role

The role involves gaining hands-on experience in one of Goodyear's Auto Service centers by diagnosing technical issues and delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues using a mechanical aptitude.
  • Perform brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, wheel alignments, and tire installations.
  • Provide clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles.
  • Document all work performed on the repair order.
  • Report any safety issues immediately to management.
  • Maintain strict adherence to Company policy on vehicle care and operation.
  • Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, including light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance.
  • A valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • ASE Certification preferred.
  • Previous experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests preferred.
  • Previous electrical, air conditioning, and primary and advanced fuel ignition experience preferred.

Skills

  • Perform line technician services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, and problem-solving.
  • Provide excellent guest service, including clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles.
  • Guide and mentor junior automotive technicians.
  • Document all work performed on the repair order.
  • Report any safety issues immediately to management.
  • Promote teamwork to deliver timely and accurate guest care during all operating hours.
  • Maintain strict adherence to Company policy on vehicle care and operation.
  • Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, including light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00/hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.

Schedule

Depending on location, our stores may be open 7 days a week, which may include weekends and some holidays.
