MID Intake Evaluator

About the role

The MID Intake Evaluator will work in a community behavioral health and addiction setting, providing services to individuals referred to the Massachusetts Impaired Driving Program. The role involves completing comprehensive assessments for court-mandated or RMV-referred individuals, orienting new patients to the MID program, and collaborating with administrative staff, clinicians, and educators to ensure smooth transitions into ongoing treatment.

Responsibilities

• Complete a Massachusetts standardized biopsychosocial comprehensive assessment and corresponding addendums during the first meeting.
• Administer evidence-based screening tools, including nicotine assessment, Tuberculosis screening, and health risk assessment.
• Prepare court evaluation letters during assessments for probation officers and/or referral sources.
• Complete required administrative documentation such as authorizations, consents, agreements, acknowledgements, and enrollment forms in a timely manner, meeting regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with the Billing Department regarding payment options and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Actively participate in licensing and accreditation processes and serve as a liaison to relevant service systems, state agencies, and community partners.
• Establish and maintain relationships with local, state, federal, and private agencies to promote programs and identify new partnerships and funding sources.
• Pursue professional development through conferences, classes, and representing the agency at meetings, task forces, and committees.
• Promote and integrate the agency’s mission, values, philosophy, and principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a behavioral health and addiction field is required.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is strongly preferred; additional compensation is available for bilingual candidates.

Pay

$44,000–$45,760 annually
