About the role
The Department of Urology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) is seeking a full-time faculty member specializing in Urologic Reconstructive and Pelvic Surgery (URPS) / Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS).
Responsibilities
- Lead the growth of a comprehensive program in female urology, integrating clinical care, research, and education.
- Mentor trainees and junior faculty.
- Work collaboratively with the Division of Urogynecology to develop joint initiatives.
Requirements
- Mid-career urologist with specialization in Urologic Reconstructive and Pelvic Surgery (URPS) / Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS).
- Experience in a large hospital service is beneficial.
- An M.D. in Urology with appropriate board certification/eligibility.
- Eligibility for medical licensure to practice in Pennsylvania.
Qualifications
- Candidates at the Associate Professor level should have 6 - 9 years of experience.
- Candidates at the Professor level should have 10+ years of experience.
