Microsoft Security, Compliance & Identity Architect Manager

About the role

Protiviti is seeking a Technology Consulting Manager to lead its Microsoft Security, Compliance & Identity (SCI) team. In this role you will partner with clients to solve complex business problems, deliver high‑quality Microsoft 365 security solutions, and build lasting relationships. You will mentor, train, and coach Consultants and Senior Consultants, facilitate project work plans, and act as an ambassador for Protiviti in the market.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients to provide strategic advice, design, and implementation of Microsoft security and compliance solutions.
• Deliver business solutions on Microsoft 365, including governance, data protection, and threat management.
• Mentor, train, and coach junior team members; conduct performance appraisals and provide development opportunities.
• Foster a positive team culture with open communication and collaborative problem‑solving.
• Participate in the preparation of client proposals and strategies to win new business.
• Maintain and grow a professional network, including relationships with senior executives.
• Travel to client sites as required, which may include local or out‑of‑state locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., MIS, Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field).
• 5+ years of experience in professional services or industry, delivering Microsoft 365 security solutions.
• Strong expertise with the Microsoft 365 Security suite from design, implementation, and administration perspectives.
• Experience architecting and implementing Microsoft Purview (IP, DLP, DLM, eDiscovery) across SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange.
• Leadership experience managing teams, including performance reviews, mentoring, and cross‑team coordination.
• Professional certifications strongly preferred: Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC‑900), CISSP, or similar.

Skills and Expertise

• Microsoft 365 Security suite (Microsoft Purview, Defender, Intune, Sentinel, etc.).
• Familiarity with Entra, Azure, Microsoft Graph, and related Microsoft technologies.
• Working knowledge of the broader Microsoft technology stack.
• Ability to evaluate, summarize, organize, and interpret data for client presentations.
• Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical challenges to executive audiences.
• Experience with large, global M365 tenants and understanding of GCC/GCCH environments (desired but not required).

Compensation

Base salary range: $125,000 – $200,000 per year (dependent on experience, skills, and location). Bonus target: 12% of base salary. Estimated total cash range (base + bonus): $140,000 – $224,000.

Work Model

Protiviti operates a hybrid workplace model that blends purposeful in‑person collaboration with remote work. The ratio of remote to on‑site work varies by client, project, team, and other business factors. Travel to client sites may be required.
