Microsoft AI Engineer
We're seeking a Microsoft AI Engineer to help expand and scale enterprise AI capabilities across critical business functions. This role focuses on designing, deploying, and optimizing AI-powered workflows within the Microsoft ecosystem to automate processes, improve productivity, and unlock new efficiencies.

This team is leading an enterprise-wide AI transformation initiative focused on accelerating automation and empowering business users through secure, governed AI solutions. The group has developed internal platforms that reduce deployment timelines and support a growing portfolio of business applications. The next phase involves building AI-first solutions, proof-of-concepts, and intelligent workflows to create scalable automation opportunities across the organization.
As a Microsoft AI Engineer, you'll collaborate with architects, developers, UX professionals, and business leaders to build AI-driven solutions using Microsoft Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and agentic workflow technologies. Initial projects will support HR automation, with future expansion into procurement, finance, and other business functions.
Responsibilities
- Develop AI-powered workflow automation solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Build and deploy agentic workflows that connect with enterprise business systems.
- Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications to improve knowledge access and decision support.
- Create proof-of-concepts that demonstrate business value and accelerate AI adoption across departments.
- Support enterprise automation initiatives for HR, procurement, finance, and other corporate functions.
- Ensure AI solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with governance and responsible AI practices.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing solutions in Microsoft Foundry (formerly Azure AI Studio).
- Strong knowledge of Azure OpenAI Service and Azure AI Search.
- Experience with model orchestration and prompt engineering.
- Experience building and deploying agentic workflows.
- Experience developing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, governance, and security considerations.
- Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems and business workflows.

Pay
The pay range for this contract position is $10.00 - $15.00 per hour.
