Microsoft 365 (M365) Test Lead Location: Jersey City, NJ or Charlotte, NC (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite) Employment Type: Contract Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens and Green Card Holders preferred, all valid work authorizations may apply Education- Required a Bachelor degree and equivalent Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 (M365) Test Lead to support a large-scale enterprise collaboration environment. This role will lead integrated testing, release validation, and test environment management across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, ensuring platform updates and enhancements are thoroughly validated before production deployment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing end-to-end testing efforts across Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Microsoft Copilot, Entra ID, Purview, and related Microsoft 365 services. This individual will work closely with engineering teams, release management, infrastructure teams, technology owners, and business stakeholders to drive successful platform releases. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end testing activities for Microsoft 365 platform changes and releases.Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and regression testing suites.Coordinate testing efforts across multiple Microsoft 365 services and dependent technologies.Validate platform enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and configuration changes before production deployment.Manage testing activities, execution tracking, and defect management using Octane and related testing tools.Support the maintenance and readiness of Microsoft 365 test environments.Collaborate with release management, infrastructure, engineering, and business teams to ensure successful release outcomes.Track, document, and communicate testing progress, risks, issues, and remediation plans.Ensure testing standards, processes, and governance requirements are consistently followed.Participate in release planning, validation, and post-deployment support activities. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in software testing, QA leadership, or test management roles.Strong experience leading testing efforts for Microsoft 365 technologies.Hands-on knowledge of:Microsoft TeamsSharePoint OnlineOneDrive for BusinessExchange OnlineMicrosoft Entra ID (Azure AD)Microsoft PurviewMicrosoft CopilotExperience creating and executing test plans, test scripts, and regression testing strategies.Expertise with test management tools such as Octane (ALM Octane).Experience supporting enterprise release management and change management processes.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect management skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience testing Microsoft Copilot and AI-powered productivity solutions.Familiarity with enterprise collaboration, security, compliance, and identity management platforms.Experience working within large financial services or highly regulated environments.Understanding of Microsoft 365 administration and platform architecture.
