About the role

Join a forward-thinking cybersecurity team as a Network Security Microsegmentation Engineer supporting enterprise Zero Trust strategies. In this hands-on engineering role, you will design, implement, and maintain microsegmentation controls using Illumio to minimize lateral movement risk and enforce least-privilege access across diverse workloads. Collaborate closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams to analyze traffic patterns, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure secure application communications in hybrid and on-premise environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure secure application communications in hybrid and on-premise environments
• Contribute to strengthening organizational cybersecurity posture and operational security protocols

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security or cybersecurity engineering
• Hands-on experience with Illumio or similar microsegmentation platforms
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture principles
• Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls
• Experience with firewall policy design and network traffic analysis
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience analyzing security logs and troubleshooting application connectivity issues
• Experience deploying segmentation policies across hybrid and on-prem environments
• Familiarity with cloud security (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, etc.)
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, PCNSE, or CCSM are a plus
