About the role
Kelly Science & Clinical has a new temporary opportunity for a Microbiology Technician in Tampa, FL. This is a 6-12 month temporary position.
Shift & Pay
- Shift: M-F | 7am – 3:30pm
- Pay: $20/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment and supplies for laboratory testing
- Perform routine and investigational environmental monitoring: collect air, surface, personnel, and utility samples in cleanrooms
- Document sample collection, testing, and results per SOPs and good documentation practices
- Incubate and read samples; enter data into GLIMS
- Operate and troubleshoot lab equipment (e.g., MetOne, air samplers)
- Perform WFI testing (bioburden, endotoxin/enhancement) and media fill visual inspections
- Maintain lab inventory and support non-routine laboratory investigations or validations
- Follow aseptic techniques and maintain cleanroom standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related Life Science required
- 1–2 years' relevant cGMP industry experience preferred
- Knowledge of environmental monitoring and microbiological testing techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, lift up to 25 lbs, gown aseptically, and work in a fast-paced, controlled environment
- Willing and able to work full-time onsite, with potential overtime and weekends as needed
