Microbiologist I 1st Shift
About the role
The Microbiologist I plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of pharmaceutical products. They are responsible for performing hands-on work in sterility testing and endotoxin testing, providing scientific guidance and interpreting results for Quality Control (QC) and production management.
Responsibilities
- Performs sterility testing using rapid technologies
- Ensures gown qualification
- Executes endotoxin testing using an endpoint fluorescence assay
- Documents the morphology of microorganisms and streaks isolates for identification
- Carries out gram staining, as needed
- Collaborates with management to resolve issues and identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Trains and corrects laboratory and production staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in QC Microbiology
- Able and willing to perform physical tasks such as walking, stooping, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
- Proficient with cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and electronic documentation systems
- Manages time effectively to meet regulatory compliance and facility requirements
- Communicates professionally with management and colleagues

Pay
The base compensation for this role is estimated to be within the range described above.
Schedule
This is a full-time role for our 1st shift, working Monday through Friday. This is a set, consistent schedule based on site in our Sugar Land, TX location.
