About the Role

Join the Navy Exchange at NAS Lemoore as a Micro Market Associate, supporting service members and their families by maintaining and stocking Micro Markets. This dynamic role involves daily inspections, product replenishment, customer engagement, and cash handling from vending machines and kiosks. You’ll operate a motor vehicle to perform duties and contribute to the operational success of our local Naval community.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Exchange-owned Micro Markets daily, performing inspections and replenishing products.
• Greets and engages with customers in the selection of merchandise.
• Collects money from vending machines, micro market kiosks, or other miscellaneous machines.
• Turns in money bags daily from Cash Handling Clerks after counting and verifying cash receipts.
• Operates a motor vehicle in the performance of duties.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and pass a pre-employment criminal and motor vehicle background check (e.g., Federal, DOD, Security Clearance).
• Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties, including operating a motor vehicle safely.
• Must pass the GSA defensive driving course.
• One year of progressive responsible clerical, office, or retail sales work demonstrating the ability to interact with customers.
• OR substitution: Half-year of academic study above high school may substitute for each 6 months of general experience.
• One year of progressively responsible experience in retail, including retail sales, services, vending, store operations, or warehouse fundamentals.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly lifts and transports moderately heavy objects weighing up to 40 lbs; occasionally handles heavier items with assistance or material handling equipment.
• Regular walking, bending, and reaching are required.
• Work is performed both inside and outside, occasionally exposed to bad weather conditions while loading/unloading vehicles.
• May be subject to cuts or bruises.

Schedule

Full-Time (35+ hours per week).
