Micro Lens Lead Engineer
About The Role
Owner of micro-lens material development and fabrication process. Work with optical designers to generate micro-lens array design. Work closely with material suppliers to develop advanced lens materials. Work with partners to develop wafer level lens replication process. Design testing plan to ensure results meet product requirements. Specify and oversee material reliability and qualification testing. Oversee transition from prototype to high volume manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Master's, or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Optics, or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with wafer level optics
- Deep knowledge of material selection for micro lens applications
- Cleanroom process experience
- Experience with optical modelling software (Zemax, Lumerical, LightTools etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal/communication skills within the company and with partners, customers, and consultants
