About the role

We'll count on you to take responsibility for area coordination, monitoring, and improvement of technical competencies of business class staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers, all within direction and goals of business class plans. Participate in delivery of project services to meet client expectations. Collaborate on business class efforts with area operations, marketing, and project management. Participate in business class practice and professional discipline groups, project teams, and activities to continually improve standards and best practices, and implement effective quality assurance and quality control reviews. Perform other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for area coordination, monitoring, and improvement of technical competencies of business class staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers, all within direction and goals of business class plans.

Requirements

  • Experienced with industry associations and maintains a visible profile in the market sector.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with regional business class leader, technical directors, business group managers, and marketing managers on business class efforts.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Strong client and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Able to handle multiple assignments.
  • Good leadership and organizational skills.
  • Able to build, supervise, and develop teams and mentor junior staff.
  • Existing Municipal, State, and Federal relationships to drive growth.
  • 10 years water, wastewater, and stormwater-related experience including project management and condition assessment.
  • Spirit of using science and technology to improve reliability of buried infrastructure.
  • Committed to quality and improvement of the condition assessment practice within HDR.
  • Eager to take on challenging projects, explore new technologies, and embrace HDR's values.
  • A strong focus on Health and Safety, and a history of safe project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
  • 10 years of experience.
  • Committed to quality, improvement, and HDR values.
  • Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience.
  • Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
  • Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers on business class efforts.
