About the role
This is a Sr. Financial Analyst position with an emphasis on preparing financial data for the Firm’s various partner and payroll functions, foundation, and investment programs, as well as tax work related to these areas.
Responsibilities
- Prepare account reconciliations, analysis, and reports for headcount, Paris interoffice invoices, Silas Partners, and Foundation.
- Prepare monthly Silas Partner reconciliations using BMO bank statements, account 1640 reports, emails, and detailed notes from the Retirement Benefits & Investments Specialist.
- Prepare monthly Silas Partner QP reconciliations using BMO bank statements, account 1640 reports, emails, and detailed notes from the Retirement Benefits & Investments Specialist.
- Create periodic and annual statements for investors and assist with any questions and issues.
- Prepare monthly Silas Partners account 1640 reconciliation.
- Compile various sources to update Silas Partners and Silas QP Valuations.
- Analyze and assist with annual Silas Partner and Silas Partner QP K-1s and tax return preparation, review, and filings.
- Monitor Silas Partners and QP fees and taxes; responsible for all payments.
- Update CTR site with various documents—Silas Partners and Silas Partner QP tax reports.
- Analyze, upload, and book monthly US Partner payrolls in CMS/general ledger.
- Analyze, upload, and book monthly foreign Partner payrolls in CMS/general ledger using currency mode and fixed exchange rates.
- Input any necessary partner adjustments or pending pay items into UltiPro.
- Create, review, and distribute Non-US pay statements.
- Assist in partner-related items.
- Analyze, upload, and book February and April Partner Special Distribution payrolls in CMS/general ledger.
- Assist in annual February and April Special Distribution access workbook.
- Create new statement formats, update current statements, review and input current data to generate statements, and distribute statements to term partners.
- Compile schedules for annual financial audit and annual Firm tax returns, including information related to ALAS insurance and prepare partner compensation schedules.
- Compile information and schedules for UK annual financial audit.
- Prepare monthly headcount.
- Prepare monthly Foundation reconciliation and bi-annual distribution package; assist with annual tax filing.
- Prepare monthly payroll bank account 1182 reconciliation and work with Payroll Supervisor to resolve any issues.
- Compile information for and prepare quarterly and annual interoffice tax charges between Paris and the US.
- Assist with miscellaneous analysis projects and other special/ongoing projects.
- Maintain updated procedure documentation for all areas of responsibility.
- Assist with related special projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
- 5+ years of accounting/finance analyst experience required.
- Proficiency in Excel required.
- This role is fully remote and must live within a commutable distance to a local office.
- Aderant (CMS Open) experience preferred.
Skills
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to organize and present detailed and complicated information in an easily understandable format.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills required to communicate effectively with all levels of firm personnel.
- Ability to identify and analyze financial issues related to the financial statements.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

Pay
Illinois applicants only: The target annual salary range for this role is currently $100,000–$130,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of compensation offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, market data, and internal equity. Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, yearly retirement contribution, and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus.
