Job Summary
Provides role as patient advocate through their own role modeling of standards of performance and by communicating and meeting patients' needs for service. Assists registered nurses in direct care of patients, specifically patients' activities of daily living. Ensures a safe and therapeutic environment on the unit through observation, monitoring, direct interaction with patients, and providing/assisting in groups.
Specifications
- Bachelors degree in any of the social sciences preferred and/or comparable behavioral health experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Experience in working with mentally ill and/or developmentally delayed clients.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- C.N.A. Preferred: 2% Pay Differential Available to Applicants who maintain an Active CNA License.
